Pay Per Stop, Not Per Tour

Every stop on your walking tour costs 1 credit, and you're only charged for the stops your tour actually delivers. Here is what a stop includes, what a tour costs, and how bonus credits work.

What one stop includes

A stop is the unit of a walking tour, so it is the unit you pay for. Each one comes with everything below.

  • A real place, vetted. Found on Google Maps, ranked on ratings, reviews and distance, and verified with Google Maps grounding before it makes the cut.
  • Its place on your route. Ordered into an efficient walking loop with the walking time to the next stop. Follow me opens it as you arrive.
  • A Street View preview. See it before you get there, wherever Google has imagery.
  • A researched story. Written from live web research and Google Maps, with its sources linked.
  • Narration in your language. Natural audio in any of 13 languages, hands-free while you walk.
  • Your guide on call. Ask about the stop by voice or text, with know-before-you-go tips from Google Maps — for 30 days.
  • Offline and printable. Saved for offline use and on your printable tour.

What a tour costs

You choose 5, 10 or 15 stops, and you are charged 1 credit for each stop your tour delivers — if it comes back with 8, you pay 8.

Bonus credits on every purchase

Buy any whole-dollar amount from $5 to $500 at $1 per credit. The more you buy at once, the bigger the bonus: +20% from $25, +30% from $50, +50% from $100. An amount between two levels gets the lower one. The packs are those levels, ready to pick:

What you never pay for

  • The search itself
  • Places we couldn't verify
  • Stops you choose to trim
  • Tours that fail or get interrupted — refunded automatically

Every new account starts with 20 free credits, so your first few tours are on us.

How it compares

A guided walking tour with a person typically costs $25 to $80 per person and runs on a fixed schedule, and "free" walking tours expect a tip of around $10 to $20 each. Audio-tour apps usually charge $5 to $20 for a tour someone else wrote. Here a 10-stop tour built around your own interests costs $10 or less, with no per-person rate.

Pricing questions

How much does a walking tour cost?

1 credit per stop. A 5-stop tour is 5 credits, a 10-stop tour is 10 and a 15-stop tour is 15. A credit costs $1, or less with the bonus credits every purchase earns — as little as about 67 cents with the largest pack.

What if my tour has fewer stops than I asked for?

You pay only for the stops you get. If we find fewer places than you asked for, or you trim the tour to fit your time, we show you the new count and its price before anything is charged, and starting over is free. A tour that comes back with 3 stops costs 3 credits. If we can't find at least 40% of the stops you asked for, we don't create the tour and nothing is charged.

How do bonus credits work?

Every purchase of $25 or more earns bonus credits: +20% from $25, +30% from $50 and +50% from $100. An amount between two levels gets the lower one, so $40 earns +20%. The packs sit exactly on those levels: $25 buys 30 credits, $50 buys 65 and $100 buys 150.

Are there free tours?

Yes. Every new account gets 20 credits, so your first few tours are free — for example two 10-stop tours or four 5-stop tours. You don't need a card to sign up.

Do credits expire? Is there a subscription?

Credits never expire, and there is no subscription. Buy credits when you need them and use them in any city.

What if a tour fails?

If a charge goes through but the tour fails or is interrupted, the credits are refunded to your balance automatically. You don't need to ask.
